Cincinnati is an amazing city located in the heart of the Midwest that has a lot of names. We're known as the "Queen City," "Porkopolis," the "Paris of America" and of course #Cincy. We love our sports, our music and our chili (it really is the best in the world). But, Cincinnati is so much more than all that.
In our opinion, and of those that have already placed Cincy on a variety of "Best Of" lists, Cincinnati is one of the best places to call home in the world! Here are 12 reasons why you should consider moving there.
US News named Cincinnati as one of the 25 Best Affordable Places to Live in the U.S. in 2018 and it's no surprise to us! For a big city, our living costs are much lower than the national average. So, if you're tired of paying over half your monthly income on rent, you may want to consider moving to Cincinnati.
People ages 20-35 are attracted to Cincinnati because of its ample employment opportunities, the big-city feel, the friendly people and the affordability. USA Today even named us #13 in their list of the 15 US Cities Attracting The Most Millennials, but, of course, we think it's a great city for people of all ages.
The Ohio River, the largest tributary of the Mississippi River, is truly a spectacular sight. If you love boating or want to take out the jet skis, you don't need to travel very far to enjoy all the river has to offer. There's also a ton of riverboat tours that provide dining options, live entertainment and more! Cincinnati also maintains a thriving park system that includes more than a hundred parks and green spaces throughout our wonderful city.
Plus — we have a ton of options for rock climbers, golfers, skiers and campers! We may be a large city, but that doesn't mean outdoor adventurers won't love it here too.

Cincinnati is home to some of the best food in the country. In fact, OpenTable's Top 100 Restaurants in America for 2017 includes three Cincinnati restaurants: Orchids at Palm Court, Restaurant L and Sotto! We have some of the best ice cream, coffee and brunch spots. And, if you're a chili lover you have to try our take on chili — which we love to slather on everything....And our drink scene isn't too shabby either

Over the past few years, our city has experienced a resurgence in our drink and craft brewery scene, including the likes of Rhinegeist Brewery, Fifty West Brewing and Mt. Carmel Brewing which have made quite an impact! Henke Winery is a great choice for wine lovers, but if you need something a bit stronger, head over the river for bourbon from the New Riff Distillery or the Boone County Distilling Company.We love our sports
We Cincinnatians do love our sports teams. From the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cincinnati Reds to college teams like the University of Kentucky Basketball team and the Cincinnati Bearcats, we've got a team for every kind of sports fan. We've also had two new stadiums built where you can attend and enjoy events all year round!There is a ton to do outside
